Jackson's Shark Cake

It is becoming a tradition that I make Jackson's birthday cake every year. Last year it was Beetle. Today it was a shark. And not just any shark. He told me he wanted a mean shark...with fish and blood coming out of it's mouth. Here was the finished product. I'm glad my mom was here...she was a huge help!!! By the way, before they had cake, the kids had a pudding food fight in the back yard. That's why all the kids are sticky icky.

After a Long Day

Today I Felt Gourmet

We recently watched Ratatouille the movie. Devan and I both love it. So cute! Whenever I watch it I always think "man, that looks tasty." Finally today I tried it. Here is the recipe. Can I just say that it was DELICIOUS!!! I went back for seconds...and I licked my plate clean.

I Have Grass!!!

I finally have grass...well...in the front yard at least...and a little bit on the side. It only took a year and a half to get to this point but it was definitely worth it. Devan and I want to thank all those that showed up to help. You are all WONDERFUL!!!

Here are some additional pics...(the cute little kid helping Devan is our neighbor. His name is Riley and he is 3. Whenever he saw us out in the front yard he would literally run over with his toy shovel, rake and wheelbarrow to help us out. It was adorable.

Mother's Day Should Fall on a Saturday

I think I might start petitioning for mothers day to fall on saturday. That way I could at least go out and by a new pair shoes to cheer me up. Let's be honest here...today ranks up there with my top 2 least favorite days of the year. In fact, I HATE TODAY!!! Here is link to a website that I find can cheer me up.
