37 Weeks

Today we hit the 37 week mark. I am so excited that these little babies have stayed in for so long. I only have 8 more days at the most of being pregnant. Can you believe that!?! We have officially scheduled our c-section for Thursday, April 4th. That will put me at a magical 38 weeks and 1 day. We pretty much have everything ready to go. The hospital bag is packed...the baby clothes are washed...now we just wait.

Here I am at 37 weeks.

In other news, we are having some issues with our bunnies staying in our yard. This morning I snapped these shots of our pets in the neighbor's yard. Looks like we have some fence hole covering to do. I sent Devan a text saying "**SING*** I looked out the window and what did I see? Peter Rabbit by the trampoline."

1st Day of Maternity Leave

Today is officially the first day of my maternity leave. It felt so weird to not go to work this morning. We decided to start my leave 2 weeks early so that the babies can hopefully bake a little bit longer before we meet them.
We took this pic last Wednesday when I hit 35 weeks.

When I went to the dr last Thursday he informed me that baby girl weighed 4 pounds 11 ounces and that baby boy weighed 4 pounds 15 ounces. We really want them to be in the 5 pound range. I hope they can get there. The dr also told me that I was dilated to a 2 and 80% effaced. So far I'm progressing nicely and the babies look great. Today after my NST I am going to go pre-register at the hospital and then talk to them about dates we can schedule our c-section. Yes, I am going to have a c-section. Baby Girl is still baby "a" and she is breech. The longest we have left is just a couple days over 2 weeks. I'm so excited and yet pretty scared at the same time. How did my time being pregnant go by so darn fast!?!

32, 33 & 2 Showers

Once I hit 32 weeks I started my weekly Dr appointments and bi-weekly non-stress test (which from this point forward I will refer to NST. At my appointment on Thursday the doctor said that both me and the babies are doing great. Boy weighs 4 lbs 8 ounces and girl weighs 4 lbs. All my stats are still looking good and the doctor reassured me by letting me know that I haven't start dilating at all. I was kind of worried about this since I have quite a few contractions every day.
Below is a picture of me during my 2nd nst. My first nst was kind of a nightmare...but I'll get to that in a bit. In the pic you can kind of see that I have 3 straps around my belly. First of all, the nst isn't to test my stress level it is to test the hearts of the babies. Each baby gets their own monitor and then one extra is place on me to detect contractions. Notice how my hand is on the bottom monitor?...that's because baby girl is positioned so low, deep and behind her brother she is really hard to get a read on. During my first test one of the nurses had to sit next to me the whole time pushing the monitor in to my stomach to try to get her heartrate to show up on the machine. On top of that, as soon as she would find her on the monitor baby girl would move...she'd find her again, girl would move again...she would find again, girl would kick the monitor than move. All the while boy is getting agitated at all the pushing (which at this point I'm pretty sure is bruising my stomach) so he starts kicking like crazy. He kicks his monitor off and we have to start all over again with him. It was not a good experience. I'm happy to say the 2nd one went much easier...even if I do have to push girls monitor in the whole time...30 minutes.

A couple of weeks ago The Gregory girls held a baby shower for me. It was a lot of fun, the food was great and we got some seriously sweet loot :o) One of the games that Danna Lee prepared was this toilet paper diaper games. Everyone broke up in to 4 teams and this was their final creations.

Towards the end of the day I was pretty pooped, so was little Sammy. Apparently I make a wonderful pillow.

Last weekend my wonderful friends and neighbors threw a shower for me too. It was also super cute and fun. They made me super cute onesies. Devan really likes the BYU and football ones.

Check out the food spread. I love the bread used in the sandwiches. Gotta love Lehi Bakery.

The amount of love and support we have received over this whole process has almost been overwhelming. We are very blessed! I hope these little babies will one day be able to appreciate all the wonderful people in their lives.
